Caribbean rum and coffee swirled into chocolate and sandalwood.
Black Phantom opens with a jolt of Caribbean rum, sugar cane and roasted coffee, closer to a spiked espresso by candlelight than to a dessert. Dark chocolate, caramel and almond fill out the heart, pushing it deep into gourmand territory without losing its edge. Heliotrope, sandalwood and tonka lend a smooth, powdery warmth in the base that keeps the sweetness in check. Dense and long-lasting, it asks for a light hand and cold nights.
