QUEENING
Cotton and apple, then rum, vanilla and coconut.
Queening is the reward at the end of the board, the pawn that crosses and comes back a queen. It opens clean and green on a cotton accord, cypress and apple, then warms through orris, aged rum and saffron. The drydown is where it turns indulgent: whipped vanilla bean, coconut and a soft musk. Elegant without excess, and closer to dessert than to a chess opening.
